We are delighted to welcome Kinjal Sethia to VMI as the 2026 Yosef Wosk VMI Fellow!

Kinjal Sethia is a writer based in Pune. Her work has been published in nether Quarterly, Gulmohar Quarterly, In Parentheses, Bangalore Review, Tahoma Literary Review, Marrow Magazine, Singapore Unbound, Out of Print among other places. She is a Fiction Editor at The Bombay Literary Magazine and a co-founder of The Osmosis Poetry Prize. She is the recipient of The Vijay Nambisan Poetry Fellowship for 2025.
Kinjal will be working with Gary Barwin on a poetry manuscript throughout the 2026 Six-Month Intensive. Please join us in welcoming her to the VMI community!
We are grateful to all who applied and shared their writing with us. The strong field of applicants confirms how important it is to support emerging voices. Please consider applying next year for the 2027 Yosef Wosk VMI Fellowship.
As the Yosef Wosk VMI Fellow Kinjal is welcome to participate in the Connected Studio, a series of six meetings with industry professionals in a relaxed drop-in Zoom “workshop” environment. You can join us! This program comes included with tuition for anyone doing a mentorship in 2025 or 2026 as part of your tuition and is a way of continuing to support our writing community. And if you aren’t ready for a mentorship or just want to see what VMI is all about, you can join us, too, by filling out the simple application form and sending $120 tuition.
Wishing you all well with the writing in these wintery months!
